• Road and forest trail race
• Start and finish at Avondale Forest Park, Rathdrum, Co Wicklow
• Medal for all finishers
• Chip timed.

Description of the event:

Wicklow Hospice Half Marathon and 10km is back! A lovely route awaits you starting and finishing at Avondale Forest Park, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow. This is a looped course for both distances along some country roads and hardcore-surfaced forest trails.

We'd love you to funraise for us and when you register for this event an online fundraising page will be automatically set up. You can share this on your social media or with your WhatsApp contacts - it's amazing how easy it is to raise a few euros! All of these funds, go back into the provision of care and support for the patients and families of Wicklow Hospice. Across the three hospices (Harold's Cross, Blackrock & Wicklow) there is a shortfall in state funding of €5.5 million annually. By taking part in this event and fundraisng you are making a huge difference to the type of service we can provide in Wicklow Hospice and to patients at home in the community.

About Wicklow Hospice:

Wicklow Hospice is the first facility to provide specialist palliative care services for patients and their families in County Wicklow. It is a public, state-of-the-art purpose-built 15 bed hospice and it’s opening marks the culmination of over ten years of incredible fundraising, which we actively continue to this day to support the patients under our care and their loved ones. Patients in Co Wicklow can be cared for in the hospice and also in their own homes.
