ANNUAL CROSS COUNTRY CHALLENGE
The Annual Juvenile Cross Country Challenge with Coolquill A.C., Moyglass A.C., Moyne A.C. & ourselves was held on Tuesday the 22nd of September at the Moycarkey Borris Community & Sports Centre in Littleton and was a great success with a great turnout many thanks to all clubs for getting involved and thanks to Nikki Hennessy ,Josephine Martin, Martina Hayden, Mary Shelly & all who helped out in any way & to our chairperson Kay Cantwell.
Wexford Open Cross Country Result
3 of our athletes travelled down to Wexford on September 20th last to the Taghmon AC Open event. In the Tiny Tots Mixed race Dale O’Dwyer was 2nd & his sister Isobel was 11th, In the U8 boys Dale O’Dwyer was 2nd. In the U16 boys their big brother Ben was 3rd , Well done to all great running.
Road Running Results
On Sunday September 20th Paddy Cummins was ran the Moyne Autumn 5k amid wet conditions to finish in 8th place in a time of 18:28, a few days later on the 24th he ran another 5k the Rock Run in Cashel and was close to breaking the 18min mark with 18:00.7. Well done Paddy.
Let There be Light
Thanks to all who helped erect the floodlights in the field the last couple of weeks it will be of great benefit to all at training as the evenings get dark. Tipperary Womens Mini Marathon
Well done to all from the club who ran the 10k event in Clonmel on Sunday September 27th. Olivia Timmons ran well in 62 mins & 14 seconds. also running well was Ciara Mernagh in 68:52 and Naomi Dempsey in 85 mins 25seconds.
FIT4LIFE
We now have 2 groups established, A walkers group & a Run/Jog Group All are welcome to join us on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm & Saturday mornings at 9am, €2 per session. JUVENILE CROSS COUNTRY TRAINING
Juvenile Cross Country Training for all age groups continues every Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 7pm to 8pm at our new field beside the Moycarkey Borris Community & Sports Centre. We have two lanes marked out, one for the younger age group & the second one for our older athletes. Parents are welcome to walk or jog the route themselves during training if they so wish. Cost is 2 euro per child.
WINTER COACHING SERIES
The next series of the 2015 Winter Coaching Series takes place on Saturday 10th October from 10am to 1pm in Cork I.T. Cost per athlete for the Series is €25. Full information can be found at www.moycarkeycoolcrooac.com.

Special word of thanks
We would like to thank Aisling Hoey for all her hard work as PRO for the club for the past 7 years Aisling recently stepped down in the role but is heavily involved with athletics being IT manger of the Tipperary Athletics website and Juvenile pro for Munster athletics & her involvement with the Tipperary Community Games as well as managing her family with her husband Jim & children Dillon, Anna, Jack, David & Daniel who are all dedicated to the sport and train immensely hard and as they are all multi eventers travelling to and from the different training disciplines can be very time consuming, Thank you Aisling we wish you and your family every success in the future.
