In another action-packed morning, Phil Healy led the charge for the Irish on the track, vying for a spot in the Women's 200m semi-finals. Despite a huge effort, her campaign came to an end as she finished 5th with a time of 23.51.
Following closely was the Men's 1500m competition, featuring two Irish athletes. Nineteen-year-old Nick Griggs was the first contender, securing 14th place with a time of 3:46.66. Though he didn't qualify for the final, Griggs undoubtedly gained valuable Senior Championship exposure.
The second Irish athlete in the Men's 1500m, Andrew Coscoran, expertly navigated a challenging race to secure a spot in Wednesday night's final, finishing 5th with a time of 3:38.52.
Next on the billing was Louise Shanahan in the Women's 800m competition. Despite her best effort, she fell short of qualifying for the semi-finals, finishing 6th with a time of 2:04.81.
Wrapping up the morning session was Mixed Relay gold medalist Thomas Barr, determined to secure a spot in the Men's 400m Hurdles final. Despite a spirited performance, Barr narrowly missed out on qualification, finishing third behind Holland's Nick Smidt by a mere four hundredths of a second, with a time of 49.61.
All attention now turns to the evening session, with the Women's 400m final taking center stage, featuring Rhasidat Adeleke and Sharlene Mawdsley, both key members of the victorious Mixed 4x400m Relay team
