TULLAMORE QUINNLAN CUP HALF MARATHON
The Tullamore Quinnlan Cup Half Marathon was held on Saturday the 25th of August in Tullamore, Co Offaly. We had one athlete compete. Gareth McGlinchey did very well to place 19th overall in a great time of 1:16:44.
The Warriors Run was held in Standhill, Co Sligo on Sunday the 26th of August. This course is one of the toughest and most competitive in Ireland. It’s over 1km where the athletes start at sea level on the beach and have to reach the top of the mountain before making their descent. The 9km of the race is road but 6km in the middle is over mixed mountain terrain where it gets soo steep even the most competitive have to slow to a walk at the peak. Michael J Ryan did very well over such a course to place 72nd overall in 1:13:00.
