Athlone was the venue last Saturday and was another great day for our 2 athletes both representing their secondary school Thurles CBS. In the Junior Boys competition Sean Mockler gave a strong performance was 1st in his favourite event the shot putt throwing 13.76 and ran a pb in his least favourite event the 800m in a time of 2:17.18. He did well in the hurdles ,200m & Long jump to finish in 5th place overall with a points total of 2835. In the Intermediate Boys Daniel Ryan, the defending Irish Schools Champion had a lightning performance posting 3 new pbs on the day in the 60mH (8.15), Shot Putt (14.84) & 800m (2.11.46) to take gold with a record breaking points total of 3785 Daniel will now go on to represent Ireland at the International combined events in Glasgow Scotland on the 12th of December

Munster Un-even Ages Cross Country

Last Sunday Nov 8th Beaufort Co.Kerry was the scenic backdrop to what were blustery conditions but our athletes were rewarded for travelling the long journey down with some great individual and team performances, The Girls U9 team won the Silver team medals for the club, Led home by Sophie Coughlan first home for Tipp in 4th , Emma Corcoran in 20th , Jane Corcoran in 30th  & Aoife Shelly in 49th . The Boys U9 duo of Daire O’Donnell and Cillian Doran both came home with individual medals in 4th and 10th place respectively they were also the top 2 scorers on the Tipp team that won Bronze medals. In the Girls U11 amid a packed field Ciara Shelly was 79th, Caitlin Shelly was 107th & Aeidín Johnson was 109th. In the Boys U11 Joe Egan was 2nd overall and led the Tipp team home to Bronze medals.Great day for the club well done to all.

Continues each Wednesday at 7:30pm in the field and every Saturday morning on the road over a 5k distance at 9am The Moycarkey Borris community centre in Littleton is the venue for both sessions All levels welcome.
