The sun was shining brightly for run director Maebh and her merry band of volunteers for parkrun 144. Maebh arrived early to survey the course and to meet John for pre event set up.

This week 86 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 12 were first timers and 13 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 8 different clubs took part.

A special nod to Tara Russell on reaching her 50th milestone with 43 of those runs taking place in Father Collins! Well done Tara from Team Father Collins!
And the aesthetically pleasing time of the week award goes to Alan Clarke with the palindromic time of 20.02 – this means it’s the same time forward and backwards, all I can say is WOW (another palindrome)…it’s on my RADAR that he finished well before NOON, this runner is at a high LEVEL of fitness and must have great STATS at different parkruns…

The female record is held by Hannah OLDROYD who recorded a time of 17:30 on 18th June 2016 (event number 38).
The male record is held by Ray HYNES who recorded a time of 15:36 on 6th January 2018 (event number 121).
The Age Grade course record is held by Matt SHIELDS who recorded 88.68% (18:15) on 3rd October 2015 (event number 1).
