St Cocas Athletic club in Kilcock will hold their annual 5k in Kilcock on Friday 26th June 2015 at 8pm. This is one of the most popular road races in Leinster attracting runners from clubs all over the Leinster region and beyond. The course which has been accurately measured is fast and flat. It is a great race for runners and fit4life groups and most especially anyone taking up running for the first time.
The AAI approved race will see runners of all levels take part. With a prize fund of €2,700, there is sure to be a strong field with First 6 Men and Women, and First 3 Men and Women over 40, 45, 50, 55 & 60 all guaranteed prizes. There are prizes also for the first 3 local men and women home and junior prizes also for first 2 junior girls and boys.
The route is the popular Sli na slainte Laragh route around Kilcock and most of the road has been resurfaced recently. Registration in Scoil ui Riada in Kilcock just beside St Cocas running track and the St Cocas after race hospitality is well known.
