March was an active month for the club with John Barrett and James Dalton kicking it off with the Wild West Run half marathon in Kenmare. Chloe Brosnahan and Grace O Donnell were competing at the Munster Indoors.
Mr Marathon Derek Mackessey ran three marathons over two days in Ballina in Co.Mayo. An extraordinary achievement.
The UL running series proved very popular and is a great event on Thursday nights.
The historic Ballycotton 10 mile saw 11 club members head to compete in Cork with Fiachra and Niall running very well. Mark and Catriona Lenihan were running well in preparation for the marathons to follow and the Hayes twins Carolyn and Rachel ran well on the day.
Carmel was competing at the Masters Indoors in Athlone and collected four gold medals for her efforts.
Seven club members headed to the Kingdom to compete in the Tralee half and full marathon. Norman Paddle ran well in the half and Mike Sheehy did very well in the full.
It was onto Mallow next for a very well run 10 mile race with 7 athletes taking part. Dec Guina ran very well on the day, as did George O Sullivan and the other members.
Carolyn Hayes represented Ireland in the European Cup Triathlon in Portugal becoming our first international representative for 2015.
Martina Ahern the new ladies captain was in Galway running the Craughwell 10 mile.
Finally we had the Munster 4 mile where Carmel won gold in her category and Fiachra won Silver as part of the Limerick county team.
