38th Patrick Bell & Nicky Philips 5k

Bohermeen athletic club in Co Meath will promote the 38^th Patrick Bell & Nicky Phillips memorial 5k run and walk on Saturday June 8^th at 7-30pm on quiet Bohermeen roads, the race HQ and parking is at Bohermeen community centre (C15 XW97).

The event commemorates the late Patrick a former club member who died following a road traffic accident in 1985 at the age of 25, Nicky Phillips is also remembered he was an athlete of the 1930s and Meath mile champion of that era,in the early 1970s when the club was just reformed, he was a great inspiration to many juvenile and adult athletes.

The event on June 8^th will see the usual after bar b que and live music, making it one of the summer classics in athletics and encompassing the true spirit of community with all ages running and walking.

As the event is expected to sell out soon after opening its best to enter ASAP

Adult €20, Junior €12

All numbers including pre-entries can be collected at race HQ on the night from 5-30pm

Families and individuals entering the walk or run on the night can enter from 5-30pm, all entries close at 7pm.

Awards

The first men’s team of six (comprising of any age group) will take home the Paddy Murtagh Cup

The first ladies’ team of 4 (comprising of any age group) will take home the Mallon cup
