Medieval Half Marathon

Kilkenny provides the historic backdrop for Ireland’s Medieval Marathon. On the 14th of September 2024, participants will set off from Ormonde Street (beside the Ormonde Hotel) for the Marathon, 30K, and Half Marathon, and the 10K will start at St Francis Bridge (the new bridge). The route will take in some of the most historic sites in the medieval city before winding out the country roads, making its way back to Kilkenny to finish in front of Butler Gallery in the heart of the city. All finishers will be rewarded with a bespoke medal and technical t-shirt to celebrate the battle victory!
