Mourne Skyultra - 55k

Looking for a challenge beyond the Skyline, that enters the ultra-distance territory here in the spectacular Mourne Mountains? Then look no further! The new Mourne SkyUltra represents the ultimate grand tour of the Mournes!

The epic 50km & 3,600m+ SkyUltra route begins with a full ascent of the indomitable Slieve Donard, which dominates the horizon from Newcastle. From here, runners head south to Rocky Mountain, then explore the Slieve Binnian summits above Silent Valley before heading north to the first aid station at Ben Crom reservoir.

Further undulating, mountainous running follows, until runners join the Skyline route to the finish (but omitting a second ascent of Slieve Donard!) and passing the second aid station at Fofanny Dam along the way.
