Mourne Way - 84k

In 2009 the Mourne Way Marathon arrived onto the running calendar as the first ever mass participation off road marathon in Ireland.

Brainchild of newly formed events company 26 Extreme Ltd the event quickly grew momentum attracting competitors from all over Ireland, the UK and beyond. An ultra-marathon was added in the 2010 and has grown from a handful of runners to what is now a large field of long distance trail runners. In addition to the full marathon and ultra-race, there is also a ½ marathon 10k and Challenge walk in aid of Cancer Focus NI. If you’re looking to get into trail running or push your distance to the next level the Mourne Way events will have what you’re looking for.
