Rosscarbery Surf Turf ‘n’ Tar Half Marathon

We cannot believe we are entering our fifth Rosscarbery Surf Turf ‘n’ Tar Event. Over the past four years (Excl. pandemic years) the event has got bigger and better and we are well and truly in the Running Calendar. On the 13th of May 2023 come to beautiful Rosscarbery, West Cork to take part in the fifth Surf, Turf ‘n’ Tar race! Run this unique multi – terrain race, running on Road, Beach, Forest and Trails!

This is a ‘not for profit’ event with all proceeds going back into the Community. Last year , the local Tidy Towns Group. Rosscarbery Playground Re-devilment Fund, The Local Historical Group to name but a few, benefitted from the race so thank you for your support.

With two distances to choose from , 10K and Half Marathon, there is something for everyone! This chip-timed event is not to be missed and you will get to run with the ever changing vistas that Rosscarbery and The Wild Atlantic Way have to offer!

Registration opens 1 January 2023 and this year the organisers have limited the event to 1,000 places so Sign Up early to avoid disappointment. All public health guidelines and restrictions will be adhered to.

This event is being organised by Rosscarbery Business Association in conjunction with Rosscarbery Steam Runners AC All proceeds from the event will go back into the community, enhancing amenities and promoting the area!
