🌲 2025 Devil’s Glen Trail Run – Explore Seamus Heaney and Waterfall Walks! 🏞️

Join us for the Devil’s Glen Trail Run in Wicklow, a beautiful race that follows the scenic Seamus Heaney and Waterfall walks. Set in the heart of the Wicklow mountains, this 8km event offers a mix of easy terrain and stunning natural views, making it the perfect race for runners of all abilities.

🎽 Event Overview:

Distance: 8 km with 283 meters of ascent

Difficulty: Easy terrain with 200-500 meters of ascent, ideal for newcomers and seasoned runners alike

Race Marking: Fully marked route for your convenience.

GPS Allowed: Yes

💸 Entry Details:

Registration for the event will open closer to race day.

Entries for the event usually open a couple of weeks before the race.

🎽 Mandatory Kit:

Level B - Standard Kit:

Waterproof jacket

Hat or buff

Gloves

Whistle

Charged mobile phone with emergency number stored

Foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent

Please ensure you bring all the required kit. Random checks may be carried out, and failure to have the necessary items could result in disqualification.

🚗 Getting There:

Location: Devil’s Glen, County Wicklow

Directions: Google Maps link

Parking: Parking is limited, so please carpool from the Ashford house if possible. Parking is available in the forest car park and along the access road to the car park. Marshals will be on hand to assist with parking.

🕓 Registration:

Registration will take place at the forest car park at the end of the access road and will be open from 18:15 until 19:15.

Please ensure to arrive with plenty of time to register and warm-up, as the parking area is a bit of a distance from the start line.

🏅 Prizegiving Location:

After the race, join us at the Ashford House (N11) for prize giving and post-race refreshments.
