How to Watch Irish Athletes in Action in France this Evening

It is a huge night in northern France for three of Ireland’s top elite athletes as they look to sharpen their form ahead of the national championships, which take place in just over ten days’ time.

Sharlene Mawdsley, Andrew Coscoran and Luke McCann are all on the start lists for a stacked and action-packed evening of Gold-level indoor athletics in Liévin.

Sharlene Mawdsley opens her 2026 indoor season tomorrow evening at the Meeting Hauts de France Pas de Calais, begins a new campaign after a 2026 season that brought both major success and personal hardship.

She is joined in France by Andrew Coscoran, who arrives in strong form following Irish indoor records last season and sharp runs in Boston and New York, he runs in 1500m A race Luke McCann, continues his return from injury with another outing over 1500m, competing in the B event earlier in the evening.

With Mawdsley headlining and two proven milers on the start list, Ireland will have a serious presence on the track in France this evening.
