How to Watch Irish Athletes on Day 2 of the World Indoors

Day Two of the World Indoor Championships gets underway todaywith another strong Irish presence across both the morning and evening sessions.

Six Irish athletes are back in action, building on an already busy opening day. The morning session sees Lauren Roy, who has been in excellent form during the indoor season with Tarleton State, take to the track in the women’s 60m heats, alongside national champion Ciara Neville of Emerald AC in the women’s event.

Later in the session, two of Ireland’s semi-finalists from Day One return to the track, with Maeve O’Neill back in action in the women’s 800m following her promotion through the heats, before Mark English lines up in the men’s 800m semi-final after a composed and controlled win in his opening race.

The focus then shifts to the evening session, where attention will centre on a highly anticipated men’s 3000m final. Andrew Coscoran lines up as one of the key contenders, while Nick Griggs makes his World Indoor debut at senior level in what promises to be a valuable outing on the global stage.

The women’s 60m semi-finals and final also take place later in the evening, with Irish interest dependent on qualification from the morning heats.
