Welcome back to Republic of Wanderlust! After our invigorating run through the vibrant streets of Mexico City, this week we're setting our sights on a city known for its iconic landmarks and rolling hills.

The San Francisco Marathon, scheduled for July 27, 2025, offers participants a unique opportunity to experience the diverse neighborhoods and breathtaking vistas of the City by the Bay. Imagine running across the Golden Gate Bridge, through historic districts, and along the picturesque waterfront.

  • Date: July 27, 2025
  • Start Time: 5:15 AM
  • Distances and Entry Fees:
    • Full Marathon (42.2 km): $315.89 USD (approximately €290)
    • First Half Marathon (21.1 km): $165.00 USD (approximately €151)
    • Second Half Marathon (21.1 km): $165.00 USD (approximately €151)
    • 10K Race: $75.00 USD (approximately €69)
    • 5K Race: $65.00 USD (approximately €60)
  • Course Profile: The marathon course is USATF certified and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier. Runners will traverse a mix of flat and hilly terrains, starting at the Embarcadero, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, winding through Golden Gate Park, and finishing near the Bay Bridge.
