Clane GAA are hosting their annual 5/10k fun run this Saturday, November 25th. Run Republic reached out and spoke to the organisers to learn more about this great voluntary event.
"Clane GAA has been running our 5/10K run and family 5K fun run successfully for over 10 years. We have two flat routes for both the 5K and 10K runs which are good for achieving a PB. We use Pop up Races for timing, who provide a great service and present all times online within a couple of hours.
"All non-fun run 5K and 10K entries will receive a good quality T-Shirt to commemorate the event. All competitors will receive an achievement medal.
"Safety is of upmost importance to us. We are fortunate to have great support from An Garda Siochana. We have over 30 GAA members who will marshall the course. This also includes three experienced motorbike marshall’s.
"We have tea/coffee sweet cake/scones and bananas for before and after.
"Overall our objective is to make this event as enjoyable as possible and one that you will want have in your annual calendar.
"Our 10K run starts from Clane GAA at 10am on Sat 25th on Clane Main Street and finishes in Clane GAA
"Our 5K run starts at 10am in Clane GAA and finishes at Clane GAA.
"Registration starts from 8.30am on Nov 25th
