NATIONAL JUVENILE B CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
The National Juvenile B Cross Country Championships were held on Sunday, February 11 in Dundalk IT in Co Louth. The weather was nice with soft and heavy underfoot conditions. We had 6 juveniles compete all on the U11 Girls race. Ellen Maher had a great race to place 11th and got a Top 12 medal. Next, we had 63rd Shona Ryan, 66th Bella Curling, 101st Isobel Hartnett, 105th Emma Kelly and 113th Isla McHugh. The team placed 12th.
CAPPAWHITE GAA 6K/10K
The Cappawhite GAA 6k/10k Fun Run and Walk was held on Monday, February 5. In the 10k race Barry Hartnett won it. Also running were Gerry O'Neill, PJ Collins, Aaron Tuohy, Michael Moore and Mairead Julian. In the 6k we had 4 juveniles with Rocco Julian being first juvenile, also running were Taylor O'Toole, Isobel Hartnett and Bella Curling.
DONADEA 50K
The Donadea 50k was held on Saturday, February 10 in Co Kildare. This is also the National 50k Championship race. Martin Callanan took on the ultra-marathon distance and really enjoyed it in a time of 5:34:55.
