On Wednesday, January 10th Dillon Ryan opened his 2024 season at the Brunel Indoor Athletics Series with a Win in the Long Jump in 6.81m. Well done Dillon.
On Friday, Jan 12th Sean Mockler competed in his first athletics competition of 2024 competing in the Weight Throw for Indiana University in the Commodore Challenge in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
Sean placed in the top-five out of 20 athletes earning a fourth-place finish in his first meet of the season."It was a strange meet for me today, and I wasn't in the best of form," Mockler said. "I fouled my first two, and I was a bit shaky. Towards the end, I thankfully found a better one. It wasn't where I wanted to be, but it was good to get back out there. I'm not worried."
Mockler advanced to the finals after a couple of faults and threw a distance of 20.30m/66-7.25 in his final attempt which was just shy of his personal best. Well done Sean.
On Saturday, Jan 13th, David Ryan was a guest athlete on round 2 of the National Indoor Track & Field League in the TUS International Arena in Athlone, David ran a very good race to win heat 3 in a time of 48.40 seconds. Well done David.

Juvenile Training has returned for 2024 at the usual time of 7pm to 8pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays a our club field in Littleton.
