Last night, the Galway 5km Series welcomed runners to Maree for a brand-new race route, marking a refreshing change for the series after several years away from this location, and approximately 520 enthusiastic runners finished, taking on the lovely new course.
The atmosphere in Maree was electric, with high spirits and clear skies enhancing the evening. The sun shone brightly, adding to the vibrant ambiance of the 5th leg of the Galway 5km Series. Runners enjoyed the new route and the weather conditions, making it a memorable event for all involved.
The Series has always aimed to unite communities through a collective love for running, and the event in Maree really highlighted that mission. Returning to a the location after a couple of years away, reuniting old friends, and forging new friendships is what the Galway 5km Series is all about.
As we celebrate the success of last night's race, anticipation builds for the final leg of this year's Galway 5km Series. The series will conclude in Athenry on May 28th, where runners will gather one last time to compete and celebrate the culmination of this exciting annual event.
