How to Follow NI Athletes on Day Two of The Commonwealth Games Athletics

Day two of the Commonwealth Games Athletics programme will see two athletes from Northern Ireland in action today. All eyes will be on Kate O'Connor as the Dundalk/Newry heptathlete commences her bid for Commonwealth gold in Glasgow.

O'Connor arrives in outstanding form after an exceptional 18 months, collecting championship medals across the Olympic, World and European stages. Having claimed Commonwealth silver in Birmingham in 2022, she now has a golden opportunity to go one better after defending champion Katarina Johnson Thompson withdrew from the Games through injury, leaving O'Connor among the leading favourites for the title. City of Lisburn AC athlete also represents Northern Ireland Anna McCauley in the event.

The heptathlon starts with four events today, split between the morning and evening sessions, with O'Connor competing twice in each. Below you'll find her start times, how to watch, plus links to the start lists and live results so you can follow every event as it happens.
