After the drama of Mark English and Rhasidat Adeleke’s finals last night, attention now turns to Kate O’Connor on day five of the European Athletics Championships.
O’Connor begins her heptathlon campaign on Friday morning as Ireland’s next genuine medal contender, with the 100m hurdles and high jump followed by the shot put and 200m during the evening session.
Andrew Coscoran and Cathal Doyle begin their men’s 1500m campaigns, while the Irish men’s and women’s 4x400m relay teams are also in action. Niamh Allen and Fiona Everard will contest the women’s 10,000m final later in the day.
