How to Watch Irish Athletes on Day Six of the European Athletics Championships

Day Six promises another action packed programme for Ireland at the European Athletics Championships, with medal hopes, major finals and some of the country’s biggest names all involved. Kate O’Connor begins the second day of the women’s heptathlon in third place overall, with the long jump, javelin and 800m standing between her and a possible European medal.

The morning begins bright and early as David Kenny and Oisin Lane contest the half marathon race walk final at 7.30am. Sarah Healy, Sophie O’Sullivan and Jodie McCann then take to the track in the opening round of the women’s 1500m, giving Ireland three strong contenders in one of the most eagerly awaited events of the session.

There is no shortage of Irish interest in the evening either. Jack O’Leary, nephew of Ryanair founder Michael O’Leary, contests the men’s 10,000m final before Andrew Coscoran takes his place in the men’s 1500m final. Ireland’s men’s and women’s sprint relay teams are also involved on a packed final day of action. Below are all the Irish start times, television details, live streams and results links.
