Live Athletics Saturday: Diamond League & Many More Irish Athletes You Can Watch Today

It’s a packed Saturday for Irish athletics with action in Poland, Switzerland, and Belgium. From Diamond League showdowns to a stacked Continental Tour meet, there’s plenty of Irish firepower on display this afternoon and evening.

Before you build your day around it, a gentle reminder: start lists are a bit like weather forecasts, not always reliable. Athletes can scratch, switch events, or just disappear without warning. On we go.

🇵🇱 Silesia Diamond League – Poland - Diamond League: Global (GW)

Sarah Healy’s having a fantastic 1500m season. She already won gold at the Euro Indoors in the Netherlands earlier this year, and outdoors she’s been a force in the Diamond League, with a victory, a second place, and a third place to her name. She leads the Diamond League 1500m standings going into this race after a month-long break. She is joined in the pre-program by Tipperary T54 Para athlete Cillian Dunne in the Wheelchair 800m race, but unfortunately it won't be televised.

⏰ 1.34pm – 🏃‍♀️ Cillian Dunne – Men's 800m Wheelchair
⏰ 3.44pm – 🏃‍♀️ Sarah Healy – Women’s 1500m

Sarah Lavin has been in top form. She claimed her tenth national 100m hurdles title two weeks ago and backed it up last week with victory over the barriers at a meet in Serbia. She’ll be looking to keep the winning momentum rolling here.
