Live Athletics Sunday: Every Irish Athlete You Can Watch Online

Eight leading Irish athletes are named across four major European meetings this Sunday, with Rhasidat Adeleke, Sarah Healy and Andrew Coscoran among those returning to action.

Much of the attention will be on Grand Prix Brescia, where Rhasidat Adeleke contests her first 200m since claiming European silver and lowering the Irish record to 22.28 in Birmingham. Adeleke was initially announced for the 100m, setting up another meeting with European champion Amy Hunt, but the final entry list now places her in the 200m.

Sophie O’Sullivan also competes in Brescia, stepping down to the 800m following a disappointing 12th place finish in Thursday’s pre programme 1500m in Zurich. O’Sullivan clocked 4:12.25 there but returns to a distance over which she broke two minutes for the first time earlier this summer.

In Bellinzona, Sarah Healy races over 1500m just one week after clocking a national lead of 3:57.42 at the Silesia Diamond League. Bori Akinola remains on the official start list for the men’s 100m B final despite racing twice in London yesterday, recording 10.34 and 10.35. Given the quick turnaround, it remains to be seen if he takes his place.

European 1500m bronze medallist Andrew Coscoran leads the Irish interest at ISTAF Berlin, where Sarah Lavin contests the women’s 100m hurdles final and Lauren Callaghan competes in the women’s long jump.

Sophie Becker completes the Irish contingent in Olsztyn, Poland. The 29 year old drops down to the women’s 300m following her European 400m semi final appearance in Birmingham.
