September has one more race weekend to offer, and there are nine events across Ireland still taking entries for Saturday or Sunday.
EcoTrail Wicklow has five distances, from 10K to 80K, while The Village Run in Laois offers everything from a 5K to a three quarter marathon. There are shorter road races in Cork, Galway and Monaghan, a trail race in Tipperary and a charity 5K in Dublin.
All four provinces have an option on the calendar. Here are the races you can still enter this weekend.
Leinster

- September 26th – Tomnafinnoge AC 5K – Wicklow
- September 27th – The Big Beaumont Hospital Fun Run 5K – Dublin

Munster
- September 26th – Allihies 5 Mile – Cork
- September 26th – IMRA Glen of Aherlow Trail Half Marathon – Tipperary
Connacht
- September 26th – Aughagower AC 5K & Half Marathon – Mayo
- September 27th – Grey Lake 10K – Galway
Ulster
- September 26th – Monaghan Phoenix Marathon Festival 10K Only – Monaghan
There is plenty of variety for anyone who has left their weekend plans until the last minute. You could head for the Wicklow trails, line up for a local 5K or take on a longer road race before the month is out.
