The annual Galway Women's Mini Marathon on 2 February 2026 is held annually to celebrate the St-Brigid's Bank Holiday.
The route starts and finishes near the Craughwell AC Athletic Grounds on the Galway side of Craughwell, just 10 miles east of Galway City. It is an accurately measured “Spoon” shaped 10km loop, passing the largest Europe’s largest Turlough on the way. There are some light rolling hills to keep things interesting but nothing tough.
The event is organised by Craughwell Athletic Club and proceeds go directly to Sports facilities in the local area.
