Glendalough Lap of the Gap Half Marathon

The Glendalough Lap of the Gap Marathon on 22 May 2027 is the only road marathon event held in the Wicklow Mountains National Park.
This event, and its little brother the Glen to Glen Half-Marathon are organised by local club Glendalough AC. These are scenic routes with plenty of ups and plenty of downs. From quiet country back lanes to the barren and dramatic heather landscapes.
The full Marathon course takes runners from the monastic village of Glendalough, one of Ireland's most popular tourist destinations, to Sallygap and back to Laragh village. 42.2km with 800m elevation.
The Half Marathon takes in a scenic lap of the Upper Lake Park in Glendalough before joining the marathon course until Glenmacnass Waterfall and turning back to Laragh. 21.1km with 340m elevation.
