🌄 2025 Belmont and Little Sugar Loaf Trail Run – Wicklow 🏞️

Join us for the scenic Belmont and Little Sugar Loaf Trail Run in County Wicklow, where you'll tackle 8.6 km of varied terrain with 360 meters of ascent. This is a great challenge for trail running enthusiasts, offering a moderate level of difficulty.

🎽 Event Overview:

Distance: 8.6 km with 360 meters of ascent

Difficulty: Moderate terrain, >500m ascent, <6 km

Race Marking: Fully marked route

GPS Allowed: Yes

💸 Entry Details:

Registration will be available online. Entries open a few weeks before the event.

You must be a member for 2024.

🎽 Mandatory Kit:

Level B - Standard Kit:

Waterproof jacket

Hat or buff

Gloves

Whistle

Charged mobile phone with emergency number stored

Foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent

The kit requirements may be finalised on race day depending on conditions.

Failure to carry the required kit will result in disqualification.

🚗 Getting There:

Parking: There is a €3 parking fee at Belmont Demesne (cash only).

Directions:

From the N11, take exit at Killarney Road Interchange (Junction 7) and follow signs towards Greystones.

Travel east along the R768 Southern Cross Road.

At the eastern end of Southern Cross Road, take the second exit south on the R761 towards Greystones.

After about 1.5 km, turn right at the top of the hill onto Windgates, Templecarrig Lower Road.

After 500 meters, turn right into Belmont Demesne.

Follow the 1 km drive through the woods to the car park.

🎽 Race Information:

Race Start: 19:30 (Early start at 19:10 for those needing additional time).

Mandatory Kit: All runners must carry or wear a showerproof jacket.

Registration:

Arrive early! Registration closes at 19:15.

Sign in, collect your race number, and scan your timing chip.

If you have a chip from previous years, bring it for reprogramming. If you don't, one will be provided at no extra charge.

Ensure your number is clearly visible on the front of your chest.

🎁 Prizegiving Location:

Prizegiving will be held at The Barn at Belmont, where platters of food will be served, and the bar will be open! 🍻

Parking: €3 fee. Please bring cash for quicker access, as the barrier can be slow with card payments.

Carpooling/Cycling: Please consider carpooling or cycling to the event, as parking is limited.
