🗺οΈ Getting There:
GPS Coordinates: 53 00'22.58"N, 6 20'36.24"W
From Laragh, take R756 to Glendalough. Travel past the Visitor Centre and Glendalough Hotel, then continue to the end of the road to the Upper Lake car park.
There is a β¬4 fee to enter the car park, and 🚗 carpooling is highly recommended.
📋 Organiser's Instructions:
The Glendalough Clover Relay is a three-leg 'handicap' relay race covering 70 km over three βout & backβ legs along the way-marked trails of St Kevinβs Way and The Wicklow Way.
Entry fee: β¬36 per team
Entries will open in early June 2024 and close two weeks before the event.
The team captain will purchase one entry, which covers all three team members. Each team member must be a registered member for 2024.
The handicap system will award time bonuses to runners from selected age categories. This will allow their team to start in advance of the official race start time (9:30am).
The first team across the finish line will be the winners.
Handicap per runner:
Male Senior: No time bonus
M40: No time bonus
M50: 10 mins per leg
Female Senior: 15 mins per leg
F40: 20 mins per leg
F50: 30 mins per leg
M60+: 30 mins per leg
F60+: 40 mins per leg
The maximum handicap per team will be 2 hours, with the potential start time of 7:30am.
