🏞️ Log na Coille (via Ballineddan) – Wicklow (10.5 km) 🏅

Take on the challenging Log na Coille race, starting and finishing at Ballineddan. This 10.5 km course climbs 700 m, including Ballineddan, Slievemaan, and Lugnaquilla, making it an advanced mountain challenge. A 4 km junior route to the first peak is also available.

All runners must carry the above items. Final kit requirements confirmed on race day. Failure to carry kit may result in refusal of entry or disqualification.

📍 Route Description:
Start at Ballinabarny Gap (Grid Ref: S 986 903 / Google Pin). The race ascends Ballineddan, Slievemaan, and reaches Lugnaquilla before returning the same way. Juniors follow a lightly marked 4 km route to the first peak and back. No digital aids; paper map required.

🧒 Juniors:
Short route approx. 4 km, lightly marked, start a few minutes after main race. Long course not suitable for juniors.

⏱️ Early Start:
12:30 for runners typically 160%+ of winner’s time.

🚗 Getting There:
Parking off the forest fire-road just below the start. Walk approx. 100–200 m to registration at Ballinabarny Gap.

O’Keeffe’s Pub, Knockananna
