🏞️ Mountain Rescue Benefit Race – Paddock Hill, Wicklow (8 km) 🏅

Support Dublin Wicklow and Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Teams with this fun end-of-season hill run! The 8 km course climbs 300 m and loops around Paddock Hill, with a 5 km short/junior option also available.

Cost: €10 seniors | €5 over 65s & under 18s

Limit: 200 runners

🎒 Mandatory Kit:

Level B – Standard Kit:

Waterproof jacket

Hat or buff

Gloves

Whistle

Charged mobile phone with emergency number stored

Foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent

All runners must carry the above items. Final kit requirements will be confirmed on race day depending on conditions and communicated at registration. Failure to carry required kit may result in refusal of entry or disqualification. Random checks may occur.

📍 Route Description:
The course goes all the way up and back down Paddock Hill. The looped section is run clockwise. A map is available in the event photos.

🚗 Getting There:

Parking: Trooperstown Forest Carpark, off Roundwood–Laragh Road (Map)

Race Start: Approx 800 m from registration (Map)

Registration: GOIMRT base at start of road to carpark, opens 18:00–19:15

Please carpool and follow steward instructions; do not park at the Mountain Rescue base or barriers.

🧒 Juniors:
Short/junior course (under 5 km) starts at 19:35.

🎉 Prizegiving Location:
At the finish line.
