🏞️ 2025 Banteer Trail Run – A Thrilling Forest Adventure! 🌲

Join us for the Banteer Trail Run, a fantastic event taking place in the heart of County Cork. The race features a challenging 9.5 km route, set on forest roads and narrow paths, with scenic views and some tough climbs.

📍 Location: Glen Theatre, Banteer, County Cork

🎽 Event Overview:

Trail Race – 9.5 km with 320 meters of ascent

Difficulty: Moderate terrain, suitable for trail runners with experience

Route: Fully marked, with sections that may be mucky, slippery, and steep, so proper footwear is recommended.

💸 Entry Details:
Registration will open a couple of weeks before the event on the Coillte Winter/Spring Trail League website. Ensure you register in advance as there will be no 'on-the-day' entries.

🎽 Mandatory Kit:
All participants must carry a showerproof, windproof jacket. The full list of required kit will be finalized based on weather conditions on the day. Please make sure to carry your kit at all times, as failure to do so may result in disqualification.

📍 Getting There:

Location: Glen Theatre, Banteer, Co. Cork

Directions: From Mallow, head west on the N72 towards Killarney for 20 km. Turn left at the R579 junction (signposted Banteer/Nad), continue for 3 km straight through Banteer Village, and the Glen Theatre will be on your right.

Parking is limited, so please carpool where possible. The race start is located 1 km from the Glen Theatre, and there is no parking available at the start. Please use this walk as a warm-up and cool-down. Be cautious, as the route to the start is along public roads.

🚗 Please do not park at the race start location: The area is narrow, and lorries and farm machinery need access. Registration will not be possible there, so ensure you park at the Glen Theatre.

🏅 Prizegiving:
Join us at the Glen Theatre after the race for refreshments and prizegiving.
