Take on the scenic Queen Maeve’s hill run around Knocknarea! This 6.5 km North West League race features 340 m of climbing over easy terrain, including two challenging climbs to the summit, fully marked for safety. A 4 km short/junior course is also available.

All runners must carry the above items. Final kit requirements will be confirmed on race day depending on conditions. Failure to carry required kit may result in refusal of entry or disqualification. Random checks may occur.
📍 Route Description:
The course includes two climbs of Knocknarea. Runners leave the tourist carpark, ascend via a scenic route to the north side of the mountain with views of Strandhill and Coney Island, then climb to the summit cairn before descending and retracing the route. The finish diverts onto the Rathcarrick trail for a safer sprint finish.

Start & finish at Knocknarea Hill Walk Carpark. Follow signs for Strandhill → Knocknarea.
🧒 Juniors:
Short/junior course of approximately 4 km follows the main route to the cairn and back.
🎉 Prizegiving Location:
At the finish line at Knocknarea Hill Walk Carpark, with refreshments.
