Monkstown Spartan's SPAR Belfast Zoo 5K

You're Having a Giraffe. - The Monkstown Spartans Mane Event 2026

The Mane Event - 5Km, 12yrs+, 9am start

Experience one of Northern Ireland’s most unique running events as you take on a challenging two-lap course through the Zoo grounds. Starting at the gates, the route climbs to the top of the Zoological Gardens, with breathtaking views of Cave Hill and Belfast Lough along the way. Fast descents bring you back down, but youve one more lap to do before the finish at the flamingo lake playpark to complete the full 5k distance.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply want to enjoy a memorable run in a remarkable setting, the Zoo 5k promises a rewarding challenge and an unforgettable atmosphere.

 The Kilimanjaro KM

A 1 KM race round the Savannah habitats. The race is for 4 -12 year olds. The £9.50 entry fee includes £5.50 race entry and the half price children's admission of £4
