Portumna 10K Run

The Portumna 10km Run on 15 March 2026 is held on a scenic, mixed terrain course in the heart of Portumna, Co. Galway.
The race takes runners through the stunning Portumna Forest Park, with lush greenery and peaceful trails. Along the route, runners will be treated to breathtaking views of the River Shannon, passing the marina and including a stretch along the newly developed Blueway. As you run, you'll also have the historic Portumna Castle and Abbey in your view, adding a touch of heritage to this beautiful course.
Terrain is road, forest path and the the river Blueway (2m wide hard ground track).
The event also includes a Children's 1km run through the town.
