The Lakes Half Marathon

The annual Lakes 10K and the inaugural Heartbreak Hills Half Marathon on 13 September 2025 are road races around the countryside of Blessington, Co Wicklow.
The 10km course is around the Blessington Lakes with a touch of the Wicklow Hills. It is accurately measured, on roads closed to traffic.
The Half Marathon is a gruelling mountain road course through the rolling hills above the Blessington Lakes, with 300m of climb and some spectacular views. There is a strict 2:30 cutoff.
There is also a flat, fast 5K distance.
This event is organised by the Lakeshore Striders.
