Waterville Trail Running Festival 25k

The Waterville Trail Running Festival from 2 to 3 May 2026 is a series of trail races along the Lough Currane / Derrynane loop of the Kerry Way.

The event includes; a 2 Day Ultra Stage Race as well as trail running distances of; 130km, 43km and 25km. The 2 Day Ultra covers a total of 68km, with a 25km distance on day 1 and a 43km distance on day 2.

The 130km Ultra is 3 continuous laps of the 43km route - an anti-clockwise loop of the Kerry Way, starting and finishing in Waterville. This is a fully way marked route including rough mountainside, single track and tarred road. Stunning area of natural beauty, including majestic sea views, rugged mountain passes and foothills, lake and island vistas, and a fantastic 5km ridge run offering unparalleled views across Ballinskelligs Bay.

The 25km is a looped race starting in Waterville via the Kerry Way passing through the Mass Path and Derrynane.
