How to Watch Ireland's Top Athletes in Action Across Europe Tonight

Another busy evening awaits for Irish athletics fans, with Rhasidat Adeleke, Sharlene Mawdsley and a host of Irish internationals in action across meetings in Switzerland, Spain and Italy.

Adeleke headlines the Irish interest at the Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern meeting as she returns to competition in Europe following her disappointing outing at the Prefontaine Classic and subsequent withdrawal from the Monaco Diamond League. The Irish record holder drops back to the 200 metres as she continues her push for qualification to next month's European Athletics Championships in Birmingham.

She is joined in Switzerland by one of Ireland's strongest travelling squads of the summer. Elizabeth Ndudi and Lauren Callaghan contest the women's long jump, while Lauren Roy, Benjamin Richardson, Bori Akinola, Sarah Leahy, Precious Akpe Moses, Lucy May Sleeman, Katie Bergin, Mark Smyth, Emma Moore, Alex O'Neill, Callum Morgan, Lucas Fadden, Max O'Reilly, Sean Aigboboh and their relay teammates will all be hoping to produce performances that either strengthen their Birmingham qualification prospects.

Meanwhile, Mawdsley returns to the track at the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meeting in Madrid, where the Irish 400m star will once again target the elusive first sub 50 second performance of her career. The Tipperary athlete has already lowered her personal best to 50.06 this season and another fast run would further cement her place among Europe's leading quarter milers heading into Birmingham.

The Irish interest is completed at the EAP Meeting Arcobaleno in Italy, where Cillian Kirwan contests the men's 800 metres as he looks to strengthen his European qualification ranking, while reigning Irish indoor champion Hannah Segrave returns to the women's 800 metres seeking another strong performance as she continues her summer campaign.
