Striders 5k Result
There were Two big personal bests for Mossy Bracken and Conor Keating last Friday evening August 11th down in New Ross Co. Wexford @ the United Striders AC 5K road race with both runners finishing in the Top ten with Mossy 2nd in 14mins & 50seconds and Conor 10th in 15mins 56, Well done lads Great Running.
Templemore AC Open Throw Result
On August 5th: Sean Mockler took part in this well-organized athletics weekend which attracted an array of athletes from around the country Sean placed 1st in the Mens Hammer competition with a distance thrown of 65.87m Well done Sean.
Clogheen 5k Result
Paddy Cummins ran this race which took place on Thursday, August 3rd, and had a very good run to finish 5th overall out of 164 runners in a time of 16mins&20seconds Well done Paddy.
Conna 5K Result
On the same evening in a different County, Kieran Shortall ran a 5k in Conna Co.Cork running well to finish in 33rd place out of 189 participants in a time of 18mins50 Well done Kevin.
Condolence:
Moycarkey Coolcroo was saddened to hear of the passing of David Harold RIP, Davy ran with the club as a Juvenile athlete as did his brother Tossie and his son Cillian. Sincere Sympathies to the Harold and Kearney Families, neighbors and friends during this sad time, Ar dheis dé go raibh a anam dilís.
