Bronze Beginnings: Tipp's Young Runners Shine in Season Opener

Tipp Even Ages Cross Country Results:

The start of the Cross Country season got underway last Sunday October 1st in Galbally Thanks to host club Moore Abbey Milers AC. Our Girls U10s team got the club off to a great start winning the Bronze medals with Amelie Fogarty leading them home with a great run medalling with a 10th place finish with Hannah Butler with a very good run too in 15th place, Prya McCormack Ryan running well in 17th and with the help of Clodagh Ryan in 27th, Lucy Rogers in 36th, Hannah Darmody in 44th and Aine Darmody in 45th place they won the Bronze medals in the team competition placing 3rd out of 7 teams Congrats Girls. In the Boys U10s race Evan Corcoran 19th, Diarmuid O'Reilly 25th, and Sean Casey displayed some good team running two but were just one short of the 4 needed to score but very good running well done lads. In the 12s races Adele Corcoran 19th & Brendan Cummins 29th both ran well representing the club individually in the Girls & Boys race respectively. In the Girls U14s competition, Mary Cummins was flying the flag for the club running well in 16th position. In the last race of the day to feature Coolcroo athletes Sean Sheehan ran a great race to win the Bronze medal in 3rd place with Ciaran Darmody running well too in 21st place to round off a nice day for the club Very Well done to All.

Juvenile Training:

Training continues (weather permitting) Each Tuesday & Thursday from 7pm to 8pm at our club field in Littleton, New members are Welcome from Ages 6 and older. Cross Country Season is well underway with the aforementioned County Even Ages and the County Primary Schools XC which took place in Thurles Crokes last Thursday, September 28th with a massive entry of over 4,000 runners, The Next race on the calendar is the County Intermediate & Uneven Ages XC which takes place in Moyne This Sunday, October 8th The very best of luck to all running.
