Clogheen 5K Victories and Run With Dunne Fun

CLOGHEEN 5K

The Clogheen 5k was held on Thursday, August 1st. We had 8 athletes compete on a warm and dry summer's evening. First home for the club in a fine performance was 4th Dymphna Ryan 17:46 and won the women's race. Next was 11th Ruaidhri Devitt 19:39 and was 1st M O40, 16th Catherine Fogarty and was 4th Woman and 1st W O45, 18th Jim Hally 20:16, 25th Tommy Byrnes 20:42, 28th Paul Bradshaw 20:47, 44th Tony Delaney 22:07 and 61st Denise Compton 22:56 and was 1st W O55.

RUN WITH DUNNE

The Run With Dunne races well held on Sunday, August 5th in Borrisokane. The Curling sisters all raced. Bella and Evie who run with the club ran in the 1km race with Bella being the first juvenile girl, her second year in a row winning it. Their little sister Tilly who is only 3 years old gave it a go as well. A future club member in the making.

The USA, lovely campus, a large group to run with, meets at various locations and fast times following in succession, all an athletes view of the colligate scene. National Half Marathon Titles up for Grabs

This years National Half Marathon will be hosted by North Cork AC and is being held in conjunction with the Charleville Half Marathon this Sunday September 15th at 10am. Starting in Charleville, the course runs towards Kilmallock, before finally finishing in Charleville. Ryan Creech (Leevale) and Siona Heaslip (An Riocht) are amongst the pre-race favourites, with plenty more talented runners ready to battle for gold with them.
