JOHN TREADY DUNGARVAN 10 MILE
The very popular 32nd Annual JOHN TREACY DUNGARVAN 10 MILE was held on Sunday 4th February in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. This race sells out very fast with runners coming from all over Ireland and there was a huge total of 2739 take to the line. It was a nice dry breezy morning in Dungarvan, the wind was welcome, keeping Athletes cool while they made their way around the 10 Mile route. We had 11 from the club travel to Dungarvan to take on the 10 Mile distance. First home for the club was Tom O Connell, 59.26, followed by Linda Grogan 1.05.36 and who was 2nd Lady 0/40. Karen Coughlan 1.13.09, Denise Compton 1.17.19, Mairead Julian 1.18.30, PJ Holmes 1.27.50, Paul Shanahan 1.32.22, Claire Ryan 1.34.23, Brigid Browne 1.37.43, Pat Hayes 1.38.20 & Keeley Hayes 2.00.03.
IMRA MUNSTER BANSHA WOODS TRAIL RACE
The IMRA MUNSTER BANSHA WOODS TRAIL RACE was held in Bansha Woods on Sunday 4th February. There was a long course of 8.5k and a 4k shorter course. We had 4 Senior Athletes from the club run the long course and 7 Juveniles in the 4k short course.
First home for the club on the 8.5k trail race was Barry Hartnett in a time of 32.47, and was 2nd Male, followed on by Catherine Fogarty 40.12, and was 3rd Female, next was Ritchie Bresnan, 41.20 and Liam Butler 49.03.
Our Juveniles who ran the 4k course were Bella Curling, Isobel Hartnett, Grace Butler, Farren Ryan, Julie Morrissey, Claire Morrissey & Emma Morrissey.
