MSD 4 MILE
The very popular MSD 4 Mile was held on St Stephens Day in Clonmel. It was a very competitive field of runners. We had 12 athletes running. First home for the club was 36th Dymphna Ryan 22:56. She was followed by 61st Michael Ryan 24:50, 77th Jim Halley 25:33, 90th Michael J Ryan 26:10, 96th Michael Moore 26:15, 104th Paul Bradshaw 26:35, 108th Tish Ryan 26:40, 123rd Martin Keane 26:56, 124th Mary Keane 26:55, 145th Emily Leahy 27:37, 170th Ben English 28:41 and 192nd Denise White Compton 29:11.
MOOREABBEY MILE DASH CHALLENGE
The Mooreabbey Miler Dash Challenge was held on Saturday, 28th December in Galbally. We had 3 club athletes take part. Mary Keane had a great race to place 18th overall and win the women's race in 6:05. Also running was 31st John Moore 7:37. Brid Moore walked the mile with her daughter in law Audrey and granddaughter Luna. John and Brid's son Kevin who now runs with Mullingar Harriers won the race.
GRANGE FERMOY AC NEW YEARS EVE 10K
The Grange Fermoy AC New Years Eve 10k was held in Glanworth, Co Cork. We had one athlete compete and managed to get one last race on before the end of 2024. Tish Ryan had a great run to place 85th and 12th woman in 43:08.
BWEENG TRAIL
The Bweeng Trail New Year's Day Run was held in Co Cork on Wednesday, 1st January. It was a 10km race over moderate terrain with a 200m - 500m ascent from 6-10km. Barry Hartnett had a great run to win the race in 39.57.
TOM WALSH 10K
The Tom Walsh 10k was held on Sunday, January 12th in Caherconlish, Co Limerick. We had 7 athletes compete. It was a dry breezy day, with wet roads from the thawed snow. First home for the club was 26th Dymphna Ryan in a great time of 37:52 and was 3rd Woman. Next, we had 61st Michael Ryan 41:29, 75th Paul Bradshaw 43:09, 88th Michael Moore 43:47, 93rd Emily Leahy 44:06, 104th Evan Ryan 45:18 who made his debut run with the club and 173rd Mairead Julian 48:54.
