The IMRA Munster Keeper Hill - Killoscully Half Marathon, held last weekend, proved to be a spectacular event, marking the return of the Munster Half-Marathon League after a hiatus since March. With an impressive elevation gain of 767 metres, the race offered a challenging and exhilarating experience for participants.
True to its preview, the course featured a fast final five miles, delivering an exciting finish that had runners on the pushing their limits to the very end. The demanding terrain was met with impressive performances across the board.
In the female category, Kealey Tideswell emerged victorious, securing first place with a remarkable performance once again. Dee Collins followed in second place, with Anita Locke rounding out the top three. On the men's side, Michael Costello claimed the top spot, with Henry Browne and Peter Power finishing in second and third places, respectively.
The success of the event was largely attributed to the Race Director John Kinsella and his dedicated team of volunteers, whose planning and organisation were praised by all. Their hard work ensured that the race ran smoothly and provided a memorable experience for everyone involved. John even served as photographer and cameraman on the day!
