Club Perform on National Stage:
Moycarkey Coolcroo had three athletes competing at the National Track & Field Championships in Morton Stadium Dublin On Saturday August 2nd & Sunday Aug 3rd read on to see how they got on.
5 in a Row for Seán:
Improving on his 2024 winning mark, Seán defended his title in the Men’s Hammer Throw with a massive 65.62m effort to make it a Historic five-in-a-row! Super Achievement. Well done Seán. It was Great to see his Coach Brian Akers in attendance alongside his Indiana University Throws Coach Megan Tomei, who flew over to support Seán.
David runs PB in 400m Final:
It was a great National Track & Field Championships too for David Ryan Last Weekend, Firstly to Win his Heat on Saturday and then on Sunday to run a personal best of 46.69 in the final live on RTE it finishing in 5th place in a very close race, it was great to see the club singlet on national television.
Valiant Debut for Olly:
Oliver Clarke gave a spirited performance in his first race in the club colors, having run for the Tipperary County team in the National Track & Field League a few weeks ago. Olly gave a strong showing in his 400m heat last Saturday, just missing out on qualification for the Men's final despite a fast finish in 3rd place in 48.50.
Athletics Ireland Volunteers:
Any big event, like an Ireland Athletics championships can't go ahead without the help of the officials and volunteers. It was great to see our own club member Jim Ryan as part of the 68+ strong team that made everything run smoothly & diligently. Well done Jim.

Clogheen 5k Road Race Results:
In the last week of July for 2025 There was a record turnout of 204 runners at the Clogheen Festival 5k on Thursday night July 31st With a good crew of 8 from the club with a few achieving new personal bests for the distance Well done to everyone First home from the club was John Fogarty in 5th place in 18:05, Paudie Guidera 17th in 19:17(PB), Conor Moore 44th in 21:08(PB), Dennis Reilly 49th in 21:30, John Molumby 52nd in 21:47, Mandy Fennessy 77th in 22:59, Aoibheann Fogarty 86th in 23:28, Paul Gooney 102nd in 24:27. Great running from Everyone.

Club Track Development Update:
Great to see the brilliant progress been made at our club grounds over the summer months Within the coming weeks, the club grounds in Littleton will have the following facilities in place:
✔️ 400m hard standing gravel track
✔️ Flood lights for the winter months
✔️ An outer loop cross country course
✔️ Outdoor exercise equipment
Many of these works have been funded by the Sports Capital programme and work carried out by Jim Martin & Company.
