Tuesday 14th July, Kildare: Barretstown, Ireland’s leading provider of psychosocial care for children with cancer and other serious illnesses, is proud to announce its inaugural Half Marathon. In partnership with Naas Athletic Club and sponsored by Boran Packaging, the event will take place on Sunday, 6th September, with the starting and finishing lines both located at the iconic Naas Racecourse.
This certified half marathon provides the perfect opportunity for runners to gauge their progress and pacing in a professional racing environment. The event supports Barretstown’s mission to serve 32,000 campers annually, providing life-changing therapeutic programmes in a safe and fun environment.
Starting in Naas Racecourse, the route will guide participants toward Kill, passing through the beautiful Kerdiffstown Park and the village of Sallins. Runners will enjoy the serene views along the Grand Canal before returning to Naas via Main Street from the Harbour, culminating in a celebratory finish at Naas Racecourse.
