We are already eight days into September but there is still plenty of running on the calendar before the month is out. From city centre 5Ks and fast road races to half marathons, mountain challenges, trail events and ultras, runners have plenty of options across the country over the next three weeks.
Below, we have rounded up races taking place from 9 September through to the end of the month, divided into Leinster, Munster, Connacht and Ulster. Several events offer more than one distance, so there should be something to suit most legs, ambitions and levels of questionable decision making.
As always, check with organisers for the latest details and entry availability before travelling.
