Ballinskelligs 5K

Run a distance of your choice from 5k right up to a full marathon along the wild Skellig Coast. With stunning views all along and a birds eye view of the Skellig Rock this is an exciting addition to the Hardman run series. With the finish line at the famed Ballinskelligs Beach you'll have no problem cooling down after this one!
From 2024 we have decided to take the plunge and go green. We feel that it is vital to not take anymore from our environment and if possible to event give back to it. You will notice when you are entering that t-shirts are now optional at all races. We have cut back our basic entry fee to reflect this, if you choose the t-shirt this will be added. We have tried this option with medals but it proved more difficult than picking the lotto numbers so now all finishers will get a medal whether they want it or not. We also are doing away with single use plastics and will let you know in advance how water will be dispensed. For more details on our green policy read here: https://hardman.ie/our-green-commitment/
FULL MARATHON:
This is a particularly challenging full marathon route, one not to be taken lightly and which is not suitable as a first time marathon. For safety and organisational reasons we will be very strict on the cutoff time of 6 hours. The race starts at 8am and finishes at 2pm sharp. At this time the finish area will be closed and the clock switched off. Think of the Comrades marathon finish! Anybody starting early, not at 8am will be listed as DNS and anybody finishing after 2pm will be listed as a DNF. No exceptions!
